The Locals was born when me and my partner decided to quit our post graduation and build a platform for local and indigenous communities to showcase and sell their Natural and Organic products to a wider audience, at 'The Locals' we believe in authenticity, to stay true and preserve the unique Imprints we contribute to sustain ourselves.

Social Impacts

The Locals not only source our products locally. We also empower local communities around India in Economic upliftment through high value aromatic plant cultivation. We have Successfully completed a trail round of True Lavender Cultivation In the High Altitude region of Chamba,Himachal Pradesh.

Due to Wildlife Conflicts the tribal communities who where dependent on agriculture had left their traditional agricultural practices and moved to cities in search of better Livelihood. The Introduction of lavender which is not Destroyed by wildlife have helped preserve community and culture of these Indigenous communities.
